The department was set up in 2023.
The key to excellence in patient care has been a team of dedicated, competent professionals with a multi-disciplinary approach, with contributions from cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery and radiology departments.
Services offered in our Cardiac Cath Lab include the following:
– Coronary angiography
– Coronary angioplasty
– Device closure of Atrial septal defect
– Device closure of ventricular septal defect
– Device closure of patent ductus arteriosus
– Balloon aortic valvotomy
– Balloon pulmonary valvotomy
– Permanent pacemaker implantation
– Coiling of aorto-pulmonary collaterals
– Diagnostic cath study to assess operability and delineate anatomy
