Sri Madhusudan Sai has announced a life-changing initiative during his visit to Fiji. Known for his selfless service across the globe, Sri Madhusudan Sai pledged to provide free medical, paramedical, and nursing scholarships to Fijian healthcare professionals.
These scholarships will be offered through the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, located in Muddenahalli, India. This prestigious institute, inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, provides top-notch medical education and training.
What makes this initiative truly remarkable is that these scholarships will be completely free. This transformative gesture will empower healthcare workers from Fiji to enhance their skills and gain advanced medical expertise.
This announcement is a milestone for Fiji’s healthcare system. By offering these scholarships, Sri Madhusudan Sai aims to strengthen local medical capacity and improve healthcare services for the people of Fiji.
Dr. Krupali Tappoo, Director of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital in Fiji, expressed her gratitude for the initiative. She shared that the first recipients of these scholarships will include five nurses from the hospital. “This is an incredible opportunity to elevate the skills of our staff and improve patient care,” she said.
In Fiji, the work is spearheaded by the Sai Prema Foundation. Under Sri Madhusudan Sai’s leadership, the Foundation has launched many initiatives in healthcare, education, and social service.
One of Sri Madhusudan Sai’s significant contributions to Fiji is the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital. This hospital provides free world-class paediatric cardiac healthcare to children from Fiji and the South Pacific region.
The impact of this hospital is extraordinary:
351 children have received free heart surgeries.
23,000 children have undergone free cardiac echocardiograms.
37,150 people have accessed free general and specialist medical consultations.
These services have saved countless lives, offering hope and healing to families across the Pacific.
During his visit, Sri Madhusudan Sai also celebrated the success of heart surgeries performed on children from Fiji and nearby islands. These surgeries were made possible by the Healing Little Hearts Foundation UK, led by Dr. Roman Gebauer, along with a dedicated team of medical professionals from Europe and Australia.
Sri Madhusudan Sai expressed his deep appreciation for their commitment to the children of Fiji and acknowledged the tremendous impact of their work.
Sri Madhusudan Sai’s efforts continue to inspire millions around the world. His unwavering commitment to selfless service is creating a legacy of hope, healing, and empowerment.
By offering free healthcare scholarships, he is not only transforming the lives of Fijian healthcare professionals but also uplifting the quality of healthcare for generations to come.
This initiative stands as a testament to his vision of making the world a better place through compassion and selfless service. As Fijian healthcare professionals embark on this transformative journey, the impact of Sri Madhusudan Sai’s work will resonate far beyond Fiji’s shores.
