Dr Anand Kumar Agarwal is a highly experienced Head of Department in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, bringing over 25 years of distinguished service to his field. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of adult cardiac surgery, with a particular focus on beating heart coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement, and minimal access, endoscopic, and robotic cardiac surgery.

Dr Agarwal’s extensive training and professional journey have taken him to some of the most prestigious institutions globally. He has had the privilege of working alongside renowned surgeons such as Dr Naresh Trehan at Escorts, New Delhi, Dr Desai and Olaf Wendler at King’s College Hospital, London, and Professors Stephen Westaby and David Taggart at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. These experiences have honed his proficiency in the finer aspects of coronary artery and valve surgery.

Dr Agarwal contributed his expertise to Narayana Hrudayalaya and Malla Reddy Group of Hospitals before establishing the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in January 2024.
