Professor Dr Uma is a highly accomplished Professor Grade I in Anatomy, bringing over 14 years of dedicated teaching and research experience. Her expertise spans Gross Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, and innovative medical education methodologies.

Dr Uma is a certified instructor in emergency care life support and has conducted numerous workshops. She is recognised for her innovative teaching techniques, including cadaveric painting and model-based demonstrations, which significantly enhance anatomy education. She serves as the co-convener of the Medical Education Unit and has organised numerous faculty development initiatives.

Her research, published in prestigious national and international journals, covers diverse topics in anatomy and medical education, earning her Best Paper Awards at conferences.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr Uma is an avid nature enthusiast and trekker. She has successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Elbrus in Russia, and has trekked Kedarkantha.
