Professor Dr Raghavendra R is a distinguished Head of Department in Forensic Medicine, bringing a wealth of expertise in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. He is deeply committed to advancing the field through clinical forensics, medical law and ethics, and innovative techniques like virtual autopsy.

He has actively engaged in awareness programs on road safety, suicide prevention, and drug abuse for over a decade. His academic credentials include numerous certifications in scientific writing, research ethics, medical education, and biomedical research. He has authored 24 publications in national and international journals and presented 25 scientific papers and one poster at conferences. He is a peer reviewer for reputable journals and has organised workshops on virtual autopsy.

Dr Raghavendra’s areas of interest encompass human performance toxicology, analytical toxicology, medical auditing, medical informatics, humanitarian ethics in forensic investigation, and human rights. He has also contributed significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving a Letter of Appreciation for his service as a frontline warrior and serving as a medical expert panellist for COVID-19 death audits.
