Dr Divya Seshadri

Assistant Professor, Dermatology

Dr Divya Seshadri is an Assistant Professor in Dermatology, bringing a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care. With 14 years of experience, Dr Seshadri has worked at prestigious institutions including AIIMS, New Delhi, PGIMER Chandigarh, Apollo FirstMed Hospital Chennai, and Changi General Hospital, Singapore, before joining SMSIMSR in September 2022.

Her specialisation lies in clinical dermatology, with a particular focus on addressing the stigma associated with skin diseases through patient education and counselling. Dr. Seshadri is a member of the Delhi Medical Council, Medical Council of India, Singapore Medical Council, and a Life Member of the IADVL.

Her experiences at AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh provided exposure to diverse clinical cases and the challenges faced by patients in India. Her time at Changi General Hospital broadened her horizons and provided insight into international best practices.

Her dedication to the field is evidenced by numerous awards, including a scholarship for a poster presentation at the World Congress of Dermatology (2023), a Long Service Award from Changi General Hospital (2022), and the Dr. K.C. Kandhari Award for Best Postgraduate in Dermatology (2012).

Her research and publications span national and international journals, covering diverse topics from traditional Indian medicine and leprosy to clinical dermatology and medical education. She is also a published book chapter author and editor. Notably, she has presented her research at conferences such as the World Congress of Dermatology and DERMACON.

Dr. Seshadri believes in providing thorough clinical evaluations and clear explanations of treatment plans. She is guided by core values of compassion, clear communication, meticulous documentation, honesty, and transparency.
