Dr Deepa L N is a dedicated Head of Department in Community Medicine, bringing over 17 years of experience in teaching and public health research. She is a seasoned academician and healthcare professional committed to improving community well-being, particularly in maternal, child, and adolescent health.

She specialises in community health research, epidemiology, research methodology, and medical education training. She has held leadership positions and contributed significantly to institutional development, organising workshops, conferences, and training programs.

Dr Deepa has published approximately 12 original research articles in renowned journals on various community medicine topics, and has guided RGUHS- and ICMR-funded projects. She has also been involved in external evaluations of programs.

Dr Deepa is a life member of the Karnataka Association of Community Health (KACH), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Indian Public Health Association (IPHA), and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), where she also serves as a Governing Council Member for the Karnataka Chapter. She has been an active member of institutional committees, including the Institutional Ethics Committee, Board of Studies, and Institutional Scientific Committee.

Dr Deepa has presented research papers at state and national conferences and has organised workshops on sample size estimation and disaster management, as well as CMEs on adolescent and geriatric health. She has also delivered guest lectures on elderly health and contributed to educational resources for medical students.
