Dr Varsha Karanth is a dedicated Assistant Professor in Psychiatry, specialising in both traditional and integrative approaches to mental health. With over eight years of clinical experience, she brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to her practice, focusing on adult mental health, mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma.

Dr Karanth holds an MD in Psychiatry from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, where she was awarded a university gold medal. She has further specialised in Integrative Psychiatry and perinatal mental health through a postdoctoral fellowship at NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

Her areas of interest include women’s mental health, substance use disorders, and the integration of nutrition and yoga into mental health and wellbeing.

Dr Karanth is committed to understanding each patient’s unique experience and developing personalised treatment plans that may include medication management, therapy, and lifestyle interventions. Her patient-centred philosophy ensures that each individual is an active participant in their healing journey.

She believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, and strives to empower her patients in their pursuit of mental wellbeing. Dr Karanth is actively involved in mental health research projects, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field.
