Dr Rashni B J
Assistant Professor, Biochemistry
Dr Rashni B J is a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Professor in Biochemistry, known for her caring approach to healthcare. Holding an MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and an MD in Biochemistry from St. John’s Medical College and Hospital, she brings a wealth of experience in teaching, training, and laboratory management.
Dr Rashni has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is also trained in the latest ISO 15189 2022 NABL assessor course and has worked as a Quality Manager and Deputy Quality Manager, overseeing lab workflows, quality control, and reporting for routine and specialised blood tests. Her experience as a Quality Manager has provided her with valuable insights into quality control, audit preparation, and manual development.
Dr Rashni is a life member of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India, the Association of Medical Biochemists Karnataka Chapter, the Flow Cytometry Society, and FQI. She has been recognised as a Quality Champion. Her research is published in national journals, focusing on serum protein electrophoresis and immunoglobulin fractions in multiple myeloma.
She has presented her research at state and national conferences, including presentations on serum protein electrophoresis, immunoglobulin fractions, and a case report on a diagnosing dilemma of break bone disease. She has also been involved in conducting and organising CME programs.
Dr Rashni’s approach to patient care is characterised by compassion and attentive listening. She is guided by core values of hard work, perseverance, patience, discipline, respect for elders, love for juniors, and divinity.
