Having earned Ph.D. in Anatomy, his research focuses on enhancing the understanding of human anatomy and improving educational approaches.

Dr Rao’s expertise lies in meticulous cadaveric dissection. He is a life member of the Andhra Pradesh Society of Anatomists. His research is published in reputable journals, covering topics such as congenital talipes equinovarus, the myenteric plexus in the human vermiform appendix, ganglion cells in the inflammatory appendicular muscle coat, pelvic floor repair, aortic arch branching patterns, and appendicitis. He has presented research at national conferences and conducted workshops on the endoscopic approach and anatomy of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
